Mit Mat Offices

Offices and storeroom project for Mit Mat Mama maternity clothing chain stores in the centre of Barcelona. An elongated plan allowed the distribution to be arranged alongside the main corridor which connects the main street with an interior courtyard. The lay-out resulted into a luminous loft-like space emphasized by skylights as well as the interior patio opening. The window carpentry used in the project outlines openings in cast-iron black framing adding a touch of personality which matches the original cast-iron pillars. Neutral tones cover the interiors with warm grey-painted partition walls, concrete floorings, sliding wooden doors and lettered matt glass panes. A few splashes of orange help counteract the overall austerity in colour.
