Oven Bar

A multi-functional space situated in a former warehouse in Barcelona’s Poblenou suburb, this is an area in constant transformation towards improvement. The distribution and atmosphere of the space are evocative of a domestic space brought to urban scale. Straight after entering the main façade, a landscaped terrace preceding the main entrance sets the transition between the exterior and interior. Panoramic windows offer a stretched out view of the red-coloured chill-out zone from the outside. A large spherical “Oven” lamp welcomes lounge visitors with transforming colour-blended lighting. Following, is the main bar with a wavy mirror backdrop which reflects the opposite wall simulating a city skyline being made of concrete, covered in small candle-lit recesses. The restaurant area is laid out on various floor levels while the ceiling above is covered in mobile panels used as projection screens. At the very end of the space a glass-enclosed kitchen, suggesting an oversized oven, offers soundless visual entertainment.
