Moaré refers to the optical illusion caused by the superimposition of two cylindrical screen meshes.
Moaré refers to the optical illusion caused by the superimposition of two cylindrical screen meshes. This lamp rediscovers an industrial fabric which is commonly used to filter sunlight. Two inner-lit superimposed layers of this screen material cause the mesh it is made of to produce a watermark-like visual effect commonly known as moiré. This optical illusion is recreated by nesting two screen cylinders available in three interchangeable colours - red, white and grey. Resulting is a double lamp-shade which offers undulating reflections over it's surface depending on the angle of incidence of the light. The Moaré collection comprises up to 15 table lamps, 18 floor lamps and 24 suspension lamps. All models are suitable for either public or domestic use.
