Laser is an ephemeral installation that draws through light a three-dimensional plan on the streets of cities. A beam of bright light that travels and enters the streets of the upper part and the center of Tarragona drawing a route. To celebrate the 700th anniversary of the arrival of the Santa Tecla Arm, we used 5 laser equipment and 3 mirrors that illuminated 1.6 km of the city center.
Laser 3 is an ephemeral installation that draws through light a three-dimensional plan on the streets of cities. A beam of bright light that travels and enters the streets of the Upper Part and the center of Tarragona drawing a route.
It is born from an exploration towards new ways of seeing public space, it is born from proposing other possibilities for street lighting, as we know it. It raises lines of light that illuminate and draw the grid of the city. And contemplating how disruptive it can be for people, it is even considered to use it as road signs, indicator, guide ...
To celebrate the 700th anniversary of the arrival of the Santa Tecla Arm, we will use 5 laser equipment and 3 mirrors that allow visitors to trace the route on the one hand, and to experiment with the ability of the laser to project itself into the sky and the sea, letting it continue its light path.
Installed in the main street: from the Pla de la Seu to the Rambla Nova (from Heroes to the Balcony of the Mediterranean) Illuminating 1.6 km of the center of Tarragona
