The Fontana waste bin was named after a former collaborator of the Arola Studio and conceived as a functional yet aesthetic element shaped to reveal it’s use. A large circular upper orifice incites to throwing in the litter. The container gradually adopts the form of a sack which turns into a plain straight line as it reaches the ground serving as a base. This linear base favours space optimisation making it unnecessary to add supports. It is made of cast aluminium with a stainless steel structure. It’s profile brings to mind a champagne glass split into two joined sections. One of it’s sides tilts open to allow emptying out, meaning that it can be presented in a half version put against a wall or double-sided for all around access.
