Armand Basi: In Red

The strict image which identifies Armand Basi products inspired the idea of closing the essence of femininity inside a clear-cut geometric volume. Passion red and linden tree leaves as a decorative motif symbolizing spring add a sensual touch to an otherwise austere bottle. Visual richness is further achieved by the superimposition of different translucent layers on each face of the bottle with graphic applications. On one side, a thin layer of translucent white paint serves as the base for a serigraphed linden tree branch picture, while the opposite side, serigraphed in red, outlines the firm’s logo lettering. Light filtering through both surfaces at once can produce an even richer effect adding self personality to the bottle. The lid is made of transparent Plexiglas, imitating crystal. The packaging continues the transparency theme printed as an illustration over the opaque surface of the box.
